At the start of 2008 I wanted to be fitter and took up running.

By the end of the year I had completed my first marathon in New York. After that experience my passion for running increased and has since impacted my life in so many positive ways. I have gone on to complete several marathons, including the big six world marathon majors, and also took on ultra-marathons and several endurance events.

This passion has also influenced other areas of my life. I have written about running and gone on to set up a local beer and running club.

I have seen and felt the massive health benefits running brings. It can transform lives and I love to encourage anyone to take up running or help and advise more experienced runners improve their performance. I trained myself to achieve the qualifying time for the Boston marathon which I never thought was achievable and feel my vast knowledge, experience and training can help others.

As my interest in running grew so did the interest of how I was fuelling my body and I became more interested in nutrition and healthy eating. I have learnt that transforming our bodies is not about diets but about exercise and changing behaviours to eating. My interest and passion in these areas has led me to become a UK Athletics trained running coach and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 qualified coach. If you are looking for help or advice in these areas then please get in touch so we can discuss further.

‘9 months ago I went from doing no exercise and being very unhealthy to deciding I needed to do something about it. I had tried so many different exercises and diets and they never lasted. Dave set me a plan for slowly working on my running and when it got too much or life got in the way he adjusted it to keep me motivated and challenged. It has helped keep me mentally and physically healthier and Dave has been a great support.’
